Energy Performance Competition

Finailst fun at the London dance-off!

This year Generation Green tasked school children from around the country to design an eco house of the future. All of the entries were fantastic and, after a tough job whittling them down, six lucky schools came to Westfield, Stratford on 19 June to perform on our specially commissioned energy-generating dance floor.

After some spectacular performances, judged by Jordan and Perri from Diversity, we are pleased to announce our three winning schools, who each won an Energy Makeover worth up to £150, 000.

Congratulations to:

  • Beecholme Primary School, Mitcham
  • Alford Primary School, Aberdeenshire
  • Okehampton College, Devon

All of the wining schools will get a bespoke suite of new and sustainable technologies installed in their school, such as solar panels, smart meters and LED lights.

Thanks also to our runner-up schools

Our three runner-up schools blew us away with their creativity and enthusiasm:

  • Homerswood Primary and Nursery School, Hertfordshire
  • Chorley St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Lancashire
  • Fulham Cross Girls’ School, London
